Description

When they come, I put on my face, The costume they know me by. The face that keeps the traditions, Passes them down, Honors those before me. Still, I look for the truth. It is the blood I wish to decode. The truth is in the blood. I saw a picture of a mural from Chernobyl's dead town and it struck me very strongly with the images I was raised with. I used part of it as my identity for 2D's theme. That I "identify" so strongly with the image is a bit of a puzzle as I was adopted and my true "identity" is hazy. Still, I am attached to the Ukrainian way I was raised even when sometimes it feels false.

The initial impact of this is very strong but then the subtle meanings begin to sink in & it needs time to ponder, I really like that! Very good work ; )

well - as bev said - the pic is strong by itself... and pull the attention by it's "assymmetry"... but the thoughts behind are even more grave... really needs some time to think about...

Well presented, and great questions to ponder - what makes the identity, what defines our sense of self. Well done!
