Description
It snowed today. Little cold flakes falling softly against my cheek as my head bowed to the wind. I can't wait for Spring to REALLY arrive.
More cuteness. Have I gone crazy? A friend of mine once told me I needed to develop a "style." One that could be easily recognizable as mine, the way many famous artists have developed, the way that Pat always does such sultry, fantastically-lit images, or Calum with his drop-dead gorgeous images from the dark side. (;))
I don't know though. I don't think it's a bad thing at ALL to have a style, don't get me wrong, but I feel like I am still just breaking out of my little artistic eggshell, still learning something new every day. I like the cute stuff, but there are SO many OTHER things that I like, so many things I want to try, I would hate to compartmentalize myself into a small box of style before I have a chance to really decide if that IS my style. I actually wouldn't mind if people were a little surprised when they found out I had done a particular thing...
What do you think?

Well first off I think she is adorable. You did a wonderful job on the scene. Your little girl is just adorable. Now about that style....I agree that many have their own "style" but as for myself I just can't stick to one particular style. I may do something totally (or semi-raunchy) ~ sexy ~ and then turn right around and do something childlike and fantasy style. I find that it completely depends on my mood. I think its an attribute to be able to do many things and many styles ~ but of course there is always your "favorite" one. :)
SophiaDeer
I agree with CandeeKis. I do many different styles...thus that is my style, lol. It depends on which way the winds of my mind blow. I may do a sexy Victoria, or a cute Koshini..or humor..or what ever. The only advise I can offer is listen to your own heart and do art for you...not for others. I love this btw..she is a little doll!

I just say do anything your heart desires and in that you will find your style!! But you know what, I like your style!! You have a way of doing historic pics and then turn around and do something like this, which is awesome by the way (I just wanna touch her nose hehehe)!! As Candee said, it depends on the mood!! Beautiful job on this!! hugz
SeaCrystal
I agree with CandeeKiss and SophiaDeer, but would also add that style may mean different things to different people when they say 'your style'. You probably do something the very same way in all your artwork! Over and over again, but maybe you haven't caught it yet! Someone ELSE may have though and then it becomes a trade mark of your work! It's kind of like the old masters, and how they made each stroke with their paint brushes! That's part of what makes them so valuable now days in the art world! Anyway, Do what you like when you want, and please yourself! You'll be happier with your art that way! This is adorable and your other things are sexy, happy, or even sad but each has its place in and on your palette!! BTW, this is as adorable as can be!! :)

Very beautiful artwork here my friend! I think your style is very wonderful. Like myself, I focus on beauty types of images, but when I feel to change up a little bit, I do so:o) It's what everyone has already said. Do what you feel to do:o)
Armorbeast
I think your friend is very wise and you should send that person personal thanks...I see this more as your style because you have such a bubbly personality-sourse throwing in a goth pic of some chick with knitting needles in her face does throw people;)Another great image Rhia...cute as a button like you yourself:P

Being an artist means there is no box!! We continue to explore and enjoy, if you like it DO IT! and go you! If you can capture more then one mood, hence go from moody to cheery, Then you are doing it right! The world is always changing, and so are we! Keep up the excellent works. CHEERS! Alicia

Gorgeous image! I agree with the others. I think it is important to do what you want to do and not what you think others think you should do. Your style will still shine through!
sirocco
Wonderful work, this lil one looks just adorable! I believe that every Artist has his/her own style. Even if we gonna do the same image, each one will have the style of its creator. Your style is marvelous, hon :-)
Avalonne
Never let anyone lock you into a box, hon. Style is a state of mind. It's whatever strikes your fancy at the time of creation. Besides, style can put you in a rut...Hell, look at me! I've been in the same rut for years, and now it's so comfortable I'm too lazy to get out of it LOL But things are fresh and new for you, so you do whatever you feel like doing at the moment! I love this little fae, but if you feel like taking a walk on the wild side...go for it! Life is a journey... Enjoy the Ride!!!!
chrislenn
I wonder if that friend is the one saying the same to me lol I have no set style and am happy with that it allows great diversity in my work and I learn more too as you do :o) do your own thing and be proud of what you do because your work is always amazing Chris :o)
meico
Who needs to have 'a style' - when your work certainly has style in the widest sense. It is interesting, stimulating and a joy to see.

I think you are right! I, too, experience the same things. I have had times where I did have a "style", back in my Bryce days, but now, I find the more chances and opportunities I take, the more I learn, and the less I have a "style". You do EXCELLENT WORK and I for one always look forward to what you are going to come up with next! h/k -- Melody

Please, surprise us! Amd don't mistake 'style' for 'genre'. 'Style' is your personal way of doing things. Style is not restrictive. Genre is.
No one can lock you in a box, the only one able to do that is you yourself. So do cute images, horror images, fantasy images, pinups, whatever YOU like.
By the way, I'm not much into faeries. But this one is very cute indeed.
