IMy name is Whylma B. Mondwin and I'm a painter. Some years ago I discovered the infinite possibilities of electronic brush, so I turned into this new way. Traditional brushes are so hard to polish :-)
I like and I devote myself to a large range fantastique (in the extensive sense of the french word) because it's my way to see the world and dreaming about.
My site is dedicate to all people who like to dream. Enjoy it!

I don't know what you're trying to imply here, with the juxtaposition of Baphomet and the square and compasses. If you are a brother, then I would urge you to be more circumspect in the use of the symbols of your order. If you are not a M.M., then I respectfully request that you not cast aspersions on that which you do not understand. That square and compasses means a lot to us, we who unite under them for charitable work and moral fellowship. We have worked for centuries to make them mean something. Please respect that labor, and that history. It is not in my authority, nor should it be, to censor your work, or to malign your intentions in any way. I respectfullly ask only that you reconsider your actions in the light of charity, and the noble past of an organization that has earned the love of millions of men around the world, and the gratitude of millions in need. kukri, Master Mason, A.F.&A.M.

So that is what those guys are up to in their spare time.

A very respectful plea by kukri! The Masons have indeed suffered prejudice from the Catholics especially! Who would love to lump them in with Satan. I believe the Masons do a lot of good charity work, however they have not helped thier own cause by being a secretive organization. Still, it would be better not to presume that they are evil, which I don't see evidance of. Interesting....

It's clear kukri and Digimon don't get the humor, and probably do not understand what Baphomet stands for. Quite a statement, especially wit the tomb as backdrop. This piece made me LOL - not in a bad way, either! Art was not meant to be 'respectful' but to express. Maybe if you're concerned with the respect that Masons apparently guard so jealously, you could put a comment like 'all due respect to --' or something. Meanwhile, keep working! Your art is beautiful!

Hello dear Whylma! As always I am delighted with a visit to your site, I love the serious and the humor. You have an exceptional grasp of what you want to portray and do it magnificantly. Thank you so much for your many visits these past months. I am so honored that you continue to visit. Big hugs, much love, be well!! Bravo on your gnomes, I love them!!!

Very interesting design. :)

Hahaha...hrmmm. Serious, yet funny. The catholic church has done a lot to demonize certain organizations, Mason among them.

Excellent!!! Though I am oblivious to the symbolism (would like to know more about it for sure though) , I really like this :) However, now I remember the name of Baphomet! >:)

An amusing composition, Whylma, but a slightly disturbing one. I have met quite a few Masons, covert and overt, over the years, most of whom did not have a proper sense of humour, but did have an overgrown sense of self-importance. I am sure that none of them were Satanists, but they did seem to have a great, knee-jerk antipathy to any organised religion, and especially Roman Catholicism. Irreverent humour is acceptable, because it is still repectful. Malicious humour is not acceptable because it demonises a specific section of society. The humour in this image is not malicious, but I can see that Masons would be annoyed by someone making fun of their organisatino, and more so with the suggestion of devil worship. So would any sincere people who follow and love their brand of organised religion. Kukri has a cultural perception which is different from non-Masons. That is to be expected. However, if they cannot accept that not everyone on RENDEROSITY is a Mason, of whatever stripe, then, well 'hard cheese'.. Kukri's call for respect is understandable, and, as a Catholic, I fully support it, even if I did not have any good experiences in my contact with Freemasons, in my social and career history. I think that local 'brothers' in Scotland and Northern Ireland, were not representative of the bigger, international organisation. At least I hope so. Getting back to the image, I must suggest that these 'Masonettes' seem to me to be dwarves and therefore, in character, peculiarly Scottish. I am a Scot, so I can comment. Am I biased? Well my wife bought me my first post-wedding birthday present, many, many years ago. It was a pair of cufflinks, masonic cufflinks. She did not know the significance of the symbolism. She spotted the letter 'G', and picked it as being one of my initials. Her father and I had a good laugh... ;o) I never wore them. Warm regards, from Glasgow, John.

All I see out of context is the image of the baphomet. I cant remember right now but it is a image made by a guy that was trying to connect Freemasonry to satan. That image has been used ever since. I do like these works of the masonic nature.

cool and impressive work! fine series! ;o)

I think these are great and I get a chuckle out of them. My father was a Mason and would have got a laugh out of them as well. We are both very open minded and understand that most people who take quick offense to anything are very insecure in their social environment and art is always going to offend someone. Like you, my art reflects my feelings, and if it offends anyone, then that's their problem. As for respect, it's earned, not given, and you have earned mine. Have fun with your art. Tell the world what you feel with it. You have a right to be heard as well.

Awww how cute !

"Here, all is Symbolism" as used to say... For those who want to give some lessons (that is not really masonic in a way) I just want to clarify a point, just in case : if you apply Atbash's code to Baphomet you will obtain שופיא that means "Sophia", something in the right way to the Gnose, that has something to do a little bit with letter G, isn't it ? Not at all...but... Here could be another interpretation...So, in that case, where the aspersion will be ? ;-) Only an uncultivated couldn't do the difference, but culture isn't Knowledge. I love jgkane's reflection : "most of whom did not have a proper sense of humour, but did have an overgrown sense of self-importance." This is true everywhere a human group is raised in a pyramidal structure... The best and the higher I kwow who reaches the top is a giraffe adorned with its mosaïc pavement and which knows Acacia better than whoever. LOL Hell is paved with good intentions... But has part it: where are your last creations, cutting raw stone, Mondwin ?

Lovely !!!
