Yo! I'm Dawn, 29 years old, born in California USA. Yeah, I'm a Cali Girl! *eg*
I found this site totally by chance a few years ago... They should put up a warning label that says "Warning - you will become addicted to this site!" lol I'm a self-taught artist going on...oh...*pauses for a moment* almost 20 years. I find many inspirations - mostly by comic books and music, as well as other artist's works. I am totally into CGI - especially Poser, as well as working on my own artworks using Photoshop. I hope you like my works - I put a lot of myself into them. At the moment (beginning August 2007) I've gone back to school and I'm going for my AA in Art. For those of you who don't get it, it's my Associates Degree. Three years from now I'll have my degree *whimpers at thought of amount of time* Hey! If it will teach me more than I already know, great! :-)
Thanks for stopping by to check out my stuff!

Oh this is comming along very nicely indeed! as for the space behind her.. what about something along the lines of stained glass? Perhaps a Tiffany styled dragonfly or a nice calla lilly? Not sure really, but I thought the glass might serve to tie in the blue wall and red cloth which I happen to love btw :P Just a thought. Cant wait to see it finished! Wonderfully done!

Your painting skills are excellent now !! agree with Stacy's ideas but maybe the stained glass on a church styled wall with the ivy edges :D for the hard and soft ideas of Art New Vo, ,, hehe like my new spelling.

Really coming along nicely. I think the stained glass idea would work. So would your idea of a window with a landscape behind it. Maybe have some strong rays of light coming through the window with a fantasy type landscape. One thing that keeps bugging me everytime I look at this is the line that runs down the side of her face on her cheek. It's part of the drawing. I just don't like it. It makes her face look manly or chisled. I think you should get rid of that one line. It will make her face look more supple and femine.

This is coming along extremely well. Mucha has always been one of my favorite artists, and you're capturing the look and feel of his work so very well. Keep up the good work. And I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished piece.

This is really coming along beautifully. I love the coloring so far. I really want to see this when it's finnished. Excellent work!

Your colouring is getting better and better Sythe. My own personal opinion for that white space behind her would be to keep it simple so as not to detract from the main image. Something like a full moon coming in from the top right hand corner and a starry night? But hey! What do I know? LOL You're the artist. Look forward to seeing the final piece. TaTa for now Minty

I've got to agree with jlpaulhamus...that face is a tad too masculine. I'm not too sure if it is just the line or whether changing the make-up or eyebrows would help...but at the moment she looks a bit strange However, the rest of the image is shaping up nicely....I'll keep my eyes peeled for the finished piece.
