Description

originally to go on my homepage at masteratwork.com/newworld, like forrest gump i just carried on without stopping. was up for 36 hrs working on this mostly on rather than off. because of the intricacy and with all the polygons c4d grinds to a halt and takes ages to budge. we'll see what happens... not 100% finished. [I LOVE NYC]

I've actually been modelling one myself! Yours is looking very nice. I know what you mean about C4D grinding to a halt on it, try using Instances when you can, if you're not already, it helps quite a bit!

wow cool, yeah ive seen a few various Towers and they all look slighty different. then again with different sun sets and climates the Towers' appearance always did vary. we should set up a site or use Renderosity to have a World Trade Center only section for 3D models. oh yeah, you'd better believe I've been using instances - helps, in some respects. I'd like to see your version, hey why not? thanks for your input.

thanks. well think about it, it's to watermark it, to save someone taking it and claiming it as their own. and believe me i've come across that sort of behaviour online before already.

well it is exact specs and then i scaled it up.. look closely man : it has 60 columns across that reach up 110 floors. notice every floor has a base and a window. there are 4 sides to each Tower and there are 2 Towers. it's not complicated, more I'd say it is intricate. look at the top - more framework. It seems u r from england, i dunno why you'd give the World Trade Center created with immense detail, the lowest rating but one. To answer your question, it'll be appearring on my homepage.

(my previous post) "Surely there must be a way of modelling this building with lower polys. It's only the bottom bit that looks complicated. What do you plan on doing with the final model?" Intricate , yes...but does it need be? If you plan on using the image online at this scale alot of the modelling work will be lost.Surely all 4 sides don't need modelling. If you plan on selling the model ,well, perhaps yes. "It seems u r from england, i dunno why you'd give the World Trade Center created with immense detail, the lowest rating but one." Does it make a difference where I'm from? If you don't want people to rank your work don't let them.
