"Eloi, Eloi, lama sabacthani?"... the sun went dark, and the curtain of the Holy of Holies ripped in two from top to bottom. "It is finished." The work He came to do, to save all mankind. The darkest, yet the most glorious day in all history, well depicted here. My hope and prayer is that all who look would see the son of God, pouring out his life for everyone.

Thanks for giving this memory of the greatest event in history...

Argh... damn. when i saw the thumbnail I thought it would be the best of nowdays flooding religious pics. But this... C'mon. Crop it to the proportions of the thumbnail only feet would be vissible and that would be the best crucifiction ever.

Wonderful render! I have no idea how you get it to fade from black on white to white in black from top to bottom, but it's a very cool effect!!! Excellent work!!

Thanks for the comments. Bungalo: That's a great idea! If I get a changce, I'll post another one as you described. Prog: Sorry, I forgot to mention post work effects in the gimp, specifically around the cross fading effect done here. (The 'Silouhette" iage was cross faded in Poser.)

Unusual and thoughtful. Great imagination and the lack of detail brings life to the mind and not to the eyes.

...Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. (1 Corinthians 15: 3-5) Superb artistic representation of the redemption accomplished on the cross by Jesus!
