Description

This was a fun shoot. Another first time model. We used a lot of props and costumes. I used 100 ASA Kodak film. With soft studio lights -- no flash. The grain is real. Outside of slight touch-ups on dust and chemical stains which were quite common with older photos, no post-work has been done. What you see is what you get. Some Renderosity members don't seem to understand that grain is an integral part of "film" photography, as compared to "digital" photography where grain has to be added in post. Many of my photos shown on this site were taken over a twenty year period and feature older film stocks that don't compare with today's finer grain stocks. I don't understand what the hang-up is with "grain". Who cares! Enjoy the images and lets not get so technical. A good photo is a good photo regardless of what it's shot on or whatever post or no post is done to it. Cheers. :)

I took the liberty of running a copy of your image through the program "NeatImage". The results were quite good. You can find a free for personal use copy online. Also, take a careful look at optimizing. (Don't over do it.) Other than the jpg archive and noise problem I like the picture. The models expression is fun and playfull.

This shot brings the classic Hollywood Glamour shots to mind, and the grain helps with the overall feel of the photo. Thanks!

lol...it's funny, but I don't see that much grain in this shot. I like the sense of fun...although after cynlee's comment...I can't help but focus on the tag...trust a woman to notice it first, huh?

I agree with you bro on the subject of "grain". And besides, with your choice of subject, that is the furthest thing from my mind ;)_ Keep up the fabulous work!
