Description

OK,..........I've never done a SciFi image and this was the best I could come up with. I have always been inspired by the images of Orbital, BamBam, Mrdodobird, whiskeyserria and the like,......I know it's very simple and "cheesey"(hence the title),.....but here it is anyway. I would like to thank drawbridgep for his very fine ship model. Background done in Universe Image Creator and Lunarcell from Flaming Pear. I'll do better next time, I promise. Thanks for your attention.

Cheesey is good. If I got rid of all my cheesey pictures I'd be down to one page. Great model too . ;-)

I think it's excellent - I've never done a space pic but I think they must be the most difficult of all, as there is just not that much you can put into them, so what's there must be just right. Lighting must be difficult, too. I guess that is city lights on the nightside? If so that IS attention to detail! Very nice, do some more! Re cheesy pics, if I got rid of mine I'd be down to 0...

This is great! The only niggle I have is that the angle of the terminator is wrong. You could correct this by rotating it until it's almost vertical. The sun is really excellent, the ship not withstanding.

This is very kewl. Cheesey doesn't enter into the conversation for me on this one, especially since this is your first sci-fi image. Bravo! I am inspired as well by all those fine and talented individuals you mentioned. Take care.

The first of any type of image is a bit off for the best artists out there. I have never done this type before and would hope it would look this good. Maybe that will be one of my upcoming renders to see how I do.

You have a GREAT start. A little work on the texturing is all that is needed.

I do fairly well at space pics, and I don't think this is cheesy at all. Very fine for a first effort, in fact. If I were to criticize it at all, it would be that I think you need more cloud patterns covering the planet, if it is a habitable one. Of course, it could be a terrafomed Mars kind of deal too.

Hey, great job!!! Totally freaking awesome! You even lined up the light source with the shadows on the ship! (most people don't do that).
