Description
Started with Mojoworld, now my first image using Terragen. Only started playing with it today. I Got a bit lost with all the settings as I was trying to teach myself, so the image in general is fairly simple.
Thanks for viewing and any comments would be very helpful as being my first Terragen posting, I would like to know what makes a good Terragen pic.

Well your first picture turned out pretty nice, here are some tips: Increase your haze a little bit, that gives a nice effect. A few options below Haze is Atmosphere, try to increase it to, uuuhm, 65 or so... That should give you a nice sunset-mood. You could decrease the reflection of the sun in the water... Oh and try adding textures to your land.

Very Nice First Image.

Nice start - you've begun experimenting with layers. Check out the PDF tutorial on layers from the official Terragen site.

great first image - it looks strikingly similar to one of the first images i created with Terragen

Agree with all the above - tinker with every setting and find what you like. And if you can, postwork by sharpening - you'll see a difference.

Thanks all for the advice. =)

and if you want, try lowering the gamma, that would make that greyish-like-layer disappear and make colours and your pic better, i think it adds contrast or something like that.
