Thanks for your comments. I think 'Wilbur' has a lot to do with it. I realise now that I was using the program not quite as its creator intended, but the end result is that you get a better variety at the local level, which helps when it comes to applying the surface. I recommend trying it out (Wilbur, that is).

I sure like your terrain and surfaces! It looks almost abstract. Very unusual and pleasing effect. Nice water, too.
