Description
I worked hard on this over a few weeks. The render barely survived a few almost-disasters involving corrupted files, memory shortages, and inexplicable Vue behaviors. Maybe I got too close to the render and lost objectivity ... it still doesn't look right to me, but there's a point at which I think you have to abandon a work in order to move on. Comments or constructive criticisms welcomed.

Cool scene, nice idea.

Looks a bit influenced by Steve Kenney's crowd scenes! Great atmosphere and movie quality to it!

Well done. Unfortunately the image looks a little bit flat, since the lack of contrast. You might think about adding a little bit more contrast using any graphic app like Photoshop. This would improve the image a lot. Anyhow I still like it a lot! :)

I agree with TheWingedOne about the lack of contrast. Other than that, it's a fine image, very well constructed and composed.

Excellent amount of detail, posing and construction. Very well done and understand why it would be pushing the limits of Vue. Agree with TheWingedOne on the flat look, a few spotlights up the front would bring out the 3D within the image.

Excellent image and idea , very well done:-)

Very fine image Dean. I think the composition is great especially the line starting at the sun and ending at the handkerchief. Perhaphs there should have been more of a flow of light along that line. Otherwise is reminds me of a great back lit western movie scene.

Thanks for the suggestions and critique. I truly appreciate it. I was hoping for a dusty, dusky atmosphere here, but I can see how that did indeed flatten the people and objects.

Great atmospherics. A couple of the poses are unnaturally stiff -- especially the cowboy in the center with the chevrons on his sleves. The dalmation strikes me as a bit overdone, but the senorita holding out the handkerchief is brilliant -- for some reason I wish it were a pair of panties.

WOW love the sun tone and you must have put some time to put all together, many details to look at, specially like how you have posed the birds :) EXCELLENT WORK ! HUGS Mia

This was definitely worth the effort. The amount of detail, the story, the colors, the atmosphere all are excellent...
