Description
Here's another shot of a brilliantly colored Hibiscus flower from outside my office. I never noticed how there are yellows and oranges in the petals, I always thought they were just red or magenta.
Anyway, I was playing around with different ways of burring out the background in Photoshop and came up with this concoction. The selection of the flower could have been a little cleaner, and it's not one of my favorites, but I thought I'd share it with you anyway. It is a nice, colorful way to end the work week.
As always, comments are welcome.

Beautiful picture! Almost an antenna, but what should it be broadcasting? :)

Nice job! I like what you did with the background... and what a pretty flower. :)

the effect gives it a nice glow to this lovely one... a gradual blur, by adjusting the opacity of the eraser as you moved closer to the flower may have made a cleaner image :]

Awesome capture my friend and a clean post work too, cynlee being the pro may have a point. I have captured many of these and not posted even a single one, maybe one I did from the backview......... but none of them show our as beautiful as this. Bravo!!:O))

Good advice. I created a separate layer for the background so that is why it didn't blend as well. Will try it that way next time. :-) Thanks for the warm comments.
