Description

An experiment made entirely in Painter 8. Deliberately rough and unfinished-looking, as if the elements fell together onto it (hence the title) this started life as a series of scrawls made while looking away from the screen and thinking about something else, trying to block out any conscious decisions as much as possible. I developed the resulting random shapes, and for some reason it made me think of a particular pose I'd shot of myself so I overlaid that. Then it was just adding shaded texture and some extra marks. No symbolism was intended and the result is entirely for your own interpretation, I'm saying nothing ;-) Thank you as always for your feedback and constructive critique :-)

Five stars...especially in the creativity and outside the box thinking displayed to achieve the results. I get great ideas and very interesting results when I just sit in front of Photoshop and ask myself "I wonder what would happen if..." And just let one step lead into another. Excellent work!

Outstanding work! And such a cool tale as to how it emerged. Interpretation - I see this as a "one with all things" kind of view, and together with the title, it would imply that earth and all its elements are purely accidental, something the just sort of happened. On the other hand, it could be a suggestion to wake up and notice that we're all of the same roots and design. I prefer the latter myself, but either way, the image looks cool. :)

I find this image amazingly beautiful. A step outside your usual style, but still you. Looser in composition, more impressionistic, it has a feling of "things happen that I have little control over" but still rooted in that reality which is given us. I just love it!

Beautiful is indeed the right word for this one! Beautiful anf touching. Hugging the dimmed future... falling todether with it. This gives possibilities for interpreting endlessly... but the most important thing here is to fall into it:-) I love the title!

Holy shit!! This one is definitely my fav from u so far sweet JIm! What a beauty!! Sensual, sexy, cheeky and twisted (yes yes, there's some strange stuff going on "down there"!) But it might as well just be my twisted mind huh! There's also a feeling of someone who's resting, but there's so many different interpretations possible that I'm just gonna stop my babbling here and admire! :)

You sure you weren't visited by aliens? Sorry to be the one to inform you of this, but you have a probe sticking out of your butt! I'd have that seen to if I were you ;) ... on a more serious note, this reminds me of Kandinski, is it double sided? L HUGS Thanks for sharing buddy, love this!

No constructive critique from my side. Only to let you know that I esp. like the contrast between the left and the right half of the image...

This fantastical!! For art class at school I couldn't be bothered finishing any of my paintings or drawings so I did what you've done in reverse (figures first, abstract next) and called them the "incomplete series". Your work is amazing though!! theres nothing half-arsed about it. I'd love to see more of these in the future.

It doesn't need to be interpreted, just felt. It's beautiful and tender, wonderful work with Painter.
