Description

Gyn, a young apprentice in the Thieves' Guild, is making off with the biggest purse of her short but promising career. Unknown to her, Raffan, the Guild Master's chief lieutenant, has taken notice of her increasisng prowess as a thief. An arrogant, greedy, spiteful man, Raffan decides appropriate the younger thief's take for himself. He heads her off and waits for her at the Old Church. He plans to disarm her and then beat her into giving up her purse. The Huntress's dog, watching from the Inn across the street, senses that Raffan is up to no good and growls. The low growl alerts Gyn barely in time and she dances aside as Raffan tries to grab her knife arm. Instinctvely, she slashes at him, giving him a deep cut to his right forearm. In the bright moonlight, she easily recognizes her assailant. She was no match for Raffan in a fair fight; and Raffen wasn't noted for fighting fairly. Indeed, his dirty fighting was legendary to the locals. Gyn hardly pause. She tore on down the street, thoughts rushing through her mind with an mental effort to match her racing feet. What was she to do? She couldn't go to the Guild. The Guildmaster would never take her word over that of Raffan's. The spiteful creature would doubtless spin a tale of lies about what had happened that would make him the victim and her a traitor to the Guild. Every thief in town would be hunting her by morning, if not sooner. Neither could she return to her room above the Red Boar Tavern. That would be the first place they'd come looking for her--and long before morning, too. Until dawn, she was trapped in town. The guards at the town gates had standing orders to let no one in or out of the town during the dark hours. She had to find a place to hide, to think and prepare for her escape--and all before dawn. Slipping unnoticed through the gates was not going to be easy. The Guild would have agents watching all the gates by daylight. She had to find a place to hole up and quickly. But where? Shameless promotion: Gyn's story will continue in the days ahead. She is going to form a partnership of convenience with the Huntress and St'fan, the prairie ranger and find a whole new purpose for her life. All buildings are modeled by liteluvr as are all the building and street textures. I made the windows transparent enough for light to show through, and the streets are modeled by me in Bryce 5 and post work in PSP5. The dog is Oscar from Traveler at MorphWorld. John Mallis modeled the two thieves; although I gave these P4 figures P5 heads that I modeled in Poser 5. I also added extra bags and a cloak and cape for the female figure. Most of their clothing textures were by Judith Ward (I think!). The full moon sky and lighting are my own. Thanks for looking. Hope you enjoyed the picture and story. Jeremy

No honor among thieves indeed... or computer repairmen. Magnificent work; art and story. Long ago I learned to never leave a live enemy standing behind ... Hopefully Gyn will prevail in your great story telling. :-)
