My most recent cover for a Piers Anthony book. This is for the reissue of PA's 1974 Sci-Fi classic, Omnivore, the first book in the Of Man and Manta series. I'll be doing Orn and OX, too, in the coming months :-) Bald people were originally rendered in Poser, then painted over, just about everything else is hand-painted. "In moments the line of sailing creatures closed the distance and circled the human group. It was strange to see so many at once, after the three contacts with individuals. A single ring of them settled down, a manta every five or six feet, eyes facing into the center where the human trio stood. Most were sleek and black, though they were of differing sizes and variable posture.
