Description
A composite image based on a render of Desert View, Grand Canyon (looking south). Landscape rendered in Terragen v0.9.19; post-processed in Adobe Photoshop CS.

hmm, i'm to be honest a lttle sceptical, is that really tg, see it as a compliment if it really is... Because, with the postwork it looks really like a photo... :)

The clouds are phenomenal! I'd cut the lightning strikes down to the two prominent ones in the center. Cliffs at the Grand Canyon are about the color of your lightest ones, middle left. Subtle strata would enhance them. Sloped surfaces tend to be quite a bit lighter (being either sand or light green grass, depending on the season), with some tiny scattered bushes of very, very dark green. Keep on refining this; it is already excellent.

With reference to the above comment, I believe lighting in the canyon is strongly influenced by atmospheric conditions, and the position of clouds in relation to the sun.
