Description

My proposed artwork for the front cover of the new Endgame double-CD "Khimaira" (coming soon), a Synaptic skeletal interpretation of the mythical beast from ancient Greek legend with the head of a lion on a goat's body with a snake for a tail! Also known as "chimera" in English. This ranks among the toughest album covers I've ever undertaken. Grateful thanks to crrunchyfrog for help in finding references! I decided to show it here without the text overlays ("Khimaira" spelled in English, modern Greek and ancient Greek, with the band logotype) as I like it as an image in its own right. I just hope that red prints okay, as strictly speaking it's "out of gamut", meaning it's fine for monitors but a bit too vibrant for standard offset-litho printing. Provided my bandmates give it the thumbs up (which they usually do!) I'll going ahead with it anyway, as I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the results when I used equally vibrant reds for a previous CD cover. It should be okay ;-)

I really love how this one came up hugs You have surely captured the spirit of this most cool of mythical beasts and I'm sure it will echo throughout the entire Endgame album HUGS Thanks so much for sharing bud and I can't wait to hear the end result ;)
