Thanks for satisfying my curiosity, Lisa! You are quite right, of course. And your attempts at realistic images have fascinating results. Please count me in for the tutorial, when you get around to it.

cool - yes of course, it's very much ok to experiment and seek new ways and means - would be a sad world if artists don't look for new frontiers and futures anymore!!!

Fantastic, Lisa. I'm so glad you reworked this brilliant image. The fog seems to have solved everything. Now the horizon can't even be determined, which gives the image a mysterious quality of it's own. I don't understand the question about working towards reality in fractals. It's a bit like asking why you would paint an apple when you can take a photograph of it. Fractal(programs) have become an artists tool, the way one uses them is irrelevant. Bravo, Lisa, you've created another masterpiece ! V

One other humble opinion from me: do not bother with a tutorial. There are already plenty of tutorials around on how to use the basics of UF. You should not have to create a tutorial for everyone to know your style. Let them figure it out on their own. I mean, you have obviously learned from the recent images of Janet Parke and Etienne Saint-Amant without a step by step tutorial from them, right?
