Description

My first attempt to create rain in photoshop. I'm not very interested in realism here, but in atmosphere and illumination, I hope you like it. Sigh... spring is late this year... Thank you for viewing. (Credit: Kozaburo for hairs, all props by me, I used basic 3D Studio materials)

What? No comments yet? Bah! Your lighting and use of shadows is outstanding! I love how you've posed her, especially her legs. The discarded teddy bear gives both an innocence and a tinge of sadness to the scene. I understand when you mention the realism - it would probably be a duller light with so much rain. Still, it could be a sunshower! Your rain looks great. Very well done! :)

If this is an experiment, then it is a great experiment. The rain works really well. Did you do this rain rendering in Photoshop? The atmosphere is very evocative, very noir. Realism be damned. Evoked a sense of style that makes ultrarealism irrelevant. Good show!

Nicely done. The mood is very good, and your choices convey it well. I would have blurred it a bit, especially the shadows of the wire grid, but everyone would do things their own way, I guess. I liked it a lot, though. -Don
