My name is Carly. I have been interested in photography my entire life. It wasn't until four years ago that I got my first SLR. It is a Canon AE-1, fairly old, but perfectly functional. I prefer black and white over colour, and I love the printing process. Recently, I bought a Canon EOS Rebel 2000. I'm having quite a bit of fun with it already!
This picture of me is about 2 years old. As all photographers know, we're never in the picture!
BIO I had a photo of my dog published in the June 2003 issue of Photography Monthly Magazine (From the U.K. - $10 per issue, but well worth it!).
Eventually, I hope to make some sort of a living at this art... but that's a few years away yet.
Until then, I figure I'll gain experience by asking other photographers. So, hope you enjoy.
My photos are slightly eclectic, but we all need variety, right?
Cheers
Carly Darby

I like this one veeeery much! :) I guess this is one of my favourites from this series... She seems to be more relaxed now, yet the tension is not gone... Excellent!

don't you believe it...I'd point to Slade rather than Mr Morrison... 'look to the future now, it's only just begun...'. This is, of course, amazing, and a great climax (far better than an ending, don't you think?) to this series. I look forward to the progression of your work...there will me more...it will be GOOD
