Forgiveness In Return To return good for evil, it is divine It costs you nothing and it takes no time. Forgive one another, just as Jesus forgave you Follow His example in everything you do. To forgive those who hurt us so badly seems odd But they owe us little compared to what we once owed God. Seventy times seven doesn't seem to make sense But we must extend forgiveness beyond the 490th offense. "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" Jesus prayed for His enemies, so we must too. He cried out for others in His greatest moment of despair He hung ther and prayed for the ones who put Him there. It was the ultimate example of what it means to forgive We must do like Jesus, love and always forgive. Forgive your enemies, forget, and on the pain do not dwell For Jesus commands forgive them and love them as well. "They don't know what they are doing" was Jesus prayer As they mocked the one who they had put there. He had done nothing, no wrong had occurred The only fact was, they were offended by His words. When you are treated evil for proclaiming God's Word Remember their not angry at you, but at what they just heard. Return good for evil, forgive, love them as well On the pain and the hurt, please do not dwell. Follow His example in everything you do And people will see God's love shinning through you.
