Description

Now we are in front of the Temple of Apollo... sorry for all who wanted to see the "face" of this Apollo ;o)... I didn't find any good POV to shoot. The old fountain is below the temple. A lovely open-air stage in those days, don't ya think so? Hope you don't mind this little break in those colour shots and also hope you like this shot! And Brain, as I've promised to you there won't be any running fountain this time *wink* Thanks for your time! And thanks also for viewing and commenting on my previous shot Temple of Apollo Hugz Monika

Great perspective, nice shot and one you wouldn't neccessarily associate with the ToA. Thanks for sharing!

The B&W is very pertinent for this beautiful compo. Really astounding mood of the past, seems to hear ghosts of sounds from when this marvelous fountain was commonly used ! Thanks for sharing Monica.

I like the b&w...you've really caught the tone and texture perfectly...and the colours might have distracted from that.

Love the clarity and pure lightness of the figures, contrast so well with the deeper tones of the descending part of the fountain . Another wonderful shot of architectural beauty. Pity no water, but hey, can't have everything <<<<<<Lina

Very nice capture. The thumbnail fooled me. I thought it would be a staircase to some sort of altar. One forgets that tiered fountains are interesting when dry as well. At least this 'one' did. Thank you.

Fine art! Your composition is great. B/w was the right choice here! Perhaps I'd leave a little more room above the two heads. Thanks for sharing!
