Description
An animation of a device that's loosely based upon parts found at the Coral Castle. The metallic cube on top is a bar magnet. The blue cylinders show where magnet coils might have gone. The crank to which planet gear would be attached is not shown. There may be some more parts that are also missing, which is why the workings of the device is a mystery.
Gears modeled in Wings3D. Rendering and animation performed using Bryce 4. Animation created as a bitmap sequence, then edited and converted to animated .gif using Animation Shop 2.

The inner workings of your mind are amazing. What is missing is the sun which could either be locked to output or input and the ring then assume the opposite function.
