I'm a graphic designer from Finland who teaches using computers in designing, and whose favourite areas are vector graphics and typography and painting as well digitally as with traditional methods. - All said in one sentence...
I read a lot, I smoke a lot --- I'm not anymore young, beautiful and slim;-)BIOI graduated at Helsinki University some 20 years ago as M.A. - main subjects philosophy, aesthetics and Finnish language and Finnish literature. As a philosopher;-) I couldn't have a permanent job... I have been a teacher in many places; teaching both children and adults.
I am a self-made graphic designer and computer aided designing teacher. My very best interest lies - besides the pictures - on typography, in theory and in practise. I work as a free lancer.
I have the home page of my own - but unfortunately they are all in Finnish. But the adress is not a secret: www.valt.helsinki.fi/blogs/titta
All my studying materials are there - I teach quite a lot at Helsinki University.
Personal life: I live with my big black dog, Kirppu (in English "a flea") in Helsinki.

What a delight to see the finished composition! Wonderfully you bring old times alive again. Love how you have included yourself, pointing at the great roll books play in forming our identity.

Wow, wonderful how you've brought those elements together. As Bev said, you've created your own unique vision here, whether or not anyone is familiar with that particular book. I haven't read that one myself, but I have read others that gave me exactly this kind of experience/impression. You are the person who is simply reading a book, but you are also immersed within the events of the story, and for a while, you live in both worlds. Excellent image for the theme and very well done!

Titta! How wonderful, it is like you are a part of the story, a great composition, blending all the images into one whole image of the book. So involving , feel the story coming to life in your painting
