Description

It is the year 28055 of the third age. Our once life giving sun has become a Red Giant. The inner planets are now nothing more than a distant memory in the minds of an extinct race. However, a new world is born in our death. Behold, Europa has been released from its icy prison. The sun struggles to warm this tiny speck of dust, while its parent planet slowly looses it gas surface to the solar winds. The dim pale orange glow reveals a new world fighting for its life. Moss and lichen grow along the rocky landscape, this which was once hidden by miles of ice

Very cool. Love how you've captured a very primordial looking Europa, waking from its long slumber. Who knows, we might find simple forms of life there ourselves soon if the JIMO mission goes ahead. Well done! :)

Great picture together with a great story. Agree with parodygm about the look of a awakening world. But i am not sure if Europa could hold its atmo when Jupiters is blown away ;o) But anyway i really like it!
