Description
This is the closest I could reach to a Gulmohar Flower. These flowers litrally fillup the trees with their burning red during the summers. It is a facinating site to look at some of these trees. In and around Delhi, at this time of the year you find lots and lots of blossoming Gulmohar Tree. Me, being a macro crazy person was so deeply involved that I forgot to capture the tree as is...maybe tommorow or some other time.

Beautiful red color. I always have trouble capturing red in macros...it tends to "overwhelm" the lens. This is perfect!

Well, I don't think it's the same - actually the "Zierapfel"-blossoms are only that dark when they have just opened and turn pink to nearly white afterwards - and then turn into those strange little fruits you can't do anything with :-( Would love to have a tree like yours, though...
