Description

Please tell me how to improve this guy. Been working on him for a while now. His eyebrows need help but im no good at painting texturemaps. He also needs eyelash transmaps. Facial structure wise, is he solid? Thanks for taking the time to comment on this one.

Just my opinion but the ears are way too big. Also the face should be longer, perhaps more oval shaped and narrower. Depending of course upon what sort of elf you are going for. What I described is what I would call a classic "High Elf" from AD&D. There are alot of different racial features for different races of Elves. Classically, everyone has an idea of What Santa Claus's Elve's look like. In the fantasy genre you have the classic High Elf from the Tolkein novels, Dungeons and Dragons campaign worlds and related novels have probably a dozen other Elvish races, ie.. Weiss and Hickman's Dragonlance series introduced the Qualinesti and Sylvanesti Elves, as well as Wild Elves, these are probably similiar to the Wood Elves of the Forgotten Realms world. Slight differences in appearances but they all look like Mr. Spock, heh The Vulcan. ;> Good luck!

I agree with Hydra on the ears, but IMHO the face is darned near perfect. The cape could use a much better texture, though.

Actually, it depends on what you were going for... If it was more of a D&D look, the ears should probably be smaller, but if you were going for the ElfQuest look, you darn near got it...

Hate to go against the grain here folks, but I rather like the big ears :) His face has a quiet nobility to it.

During my Elvin Days, before the Great Fall and my doom to mortality, the larger and more pointed the ears the greater the prestige...a symbol of rank within the Order of Nobility. Nice job.

I, like Styxx, like the big ears. Gives him character. The face looks great, although the skin tone is a bit too human (unless you are going for that). Very nice job again Quix

Love this one and I like the bigger pointed ears better, they are much more interesting to look at =) I used to play as a Wood Elf on Everquest.
