I believe this is a great scene, but a little bit of oversaturated colours would not bother anyone - I say that because the scene seems without life...My opinion, of course! By the way : around the corner I guess we find a beautiful perspective from a super landscape!

@Mikan: Sometimes colors are different as we want them. The picture was somewhat bluish caused by the humid air (the distance was several kilometers). I've tried to correct that.

Aesthetics or Realism? It confuses me what to give precedence. What do you think?

For my money the shot stands well by itself on the basis of the 2 great trees on the hill. What do I want to see coming round the corner?... (a) an ice cream truck (b) A gigantic dinosaur (c) both a & b

Beautiful landscape with the house nestled in the hollow. I don't know where this road will go, but hope you will take us there with your camera.

A good question !!! The mount on the right with the two trees make me think at the Teletubbies shot. Exactly the same pattern. A great shot dear friend !

Its a wonderful landscape and the sky is bland but it is this very thing that brings out the details like those two trees.. I would be looking for the first Tee myself lol!!

Love to read all your reactions! Imagination, that's absolutely abundant on RR. I think imagination is essential for taking original pictures.

The landscape around the corner is a vast landscape of hills, the so called Swiss 'Mittelland', a large stroke of hills between the Alps and the Swiss plateau.

A very soft and pretty picture. What do I think I will see around the corner. Well I think a pond or a body of water of some sort with lots of beautiful tree's and maybe a very pretty home to go along with it.

We already talked about that JCV. Using a skylight-filter, desaturating blue after shooting via Potatoshop .. that doesn't matter in this one, being the real thing to me. The sky is a little to white and there's some gray over all ... yep, the distance. Sad ... perhaps re-shooting this one in the early morning is an option?

Funny funny funny picture. The distant POV gives a curious unreal feel to the grass and trees and has a weird effect on the scale (made even weirder by those trees on the hill top). I expect Tinkywinkey and Po will be round soon for some Tubby toast!!!

Thanks for your kind comments. Good framing and composition. Perspective compression works very well, and the two trees really catch the eye. Great shot!

Almost perfect shot, very surreal. The only gripe--and it is a minor one--is that white grainyness. Maybe it was from sharpening the image? Other than that, WOW! "Over the hill and throught the woods to Grandmother's house we go..."
