Description

oil on canvas This is The Drowned's Swamp! This is where all the thoughts you want to delete wind up in. Whenever you want to erase something out of your mind it ends up here...The trouble is, the swamp is expanding as you move through life. Eventually, it will catch up to you... Thank you for your feedback and comments.

This is a very wonderful piece of work...it seems that is what is happening to me at this moment. You try to leave the past and pain behind, but inevitably it comes back to haunt you....great work.....I love it....:o)

...I love the story with this -- when I first see this painting my mind flows one way --- lungs with tube-like trachea below ---then I read the title and your thoughts on it -- ahhh -- I'm still in the ballgame a bit I see --expanding swamp & expanding lungs still works.....anyway I really like your painting!

Kind of like the way the universe is on a unending expanse leading to nothing but vacum everywhere.

One of my favourites seen so far. Some kind of organic underground world stranger than Alice's wonderland...

Cassie and I were commenting on how your work (particularly this one) shows how you understand what we call "it" - a sense of Zen and the duality of reality. Much of your work has this inherently perfect sense of balance, but it feels so natural, so flowing, so spontaneous. She and I are fans of the Australian artist Brett Whiteley and some of your work reminds us of some of his in this sense. He's well worth looking up if you don't know of him already. Anyway, just keep on doing what you do Rodica, it's really quite special.
