Description
This is my first attempt at posting anything anywhere. I have been trying and learning Poser 5 since the 12th of March since losing my job, and this is the first thing I thought it was time to start posting so I might start learning from the criticisms of the more learned 3-D artists. I'm not an artist, but I'm trying! I used Terragen to create my own background, Kozaburo's hair, and a prop called "Hippie Top" which I cannot remember where I got it, but Thank You to everyone! Anyway, my first post is here and I would appreciate your comments and criticism.

Very nice, but I would ad a dim ling in front of low values with no shadow to give a little ambient lighting in front. This would wash down the shadows a little and make the image a little softer which would be my preferance. :-)

For a first try, very good! I've seen PLENTY worse, LOL! Em...maybe start working on the transmaps for the eyelashes and eyebrows.

It was supposed to be ambient light from a candle or party lights or something, with the atmospheric light in the background.

Very subtle, lovely picture. Really enjoy the muted background to let the model have control of the view. Great shading on her as well. Fantastic beginning! (:

I know that you have progressed from the time that you first posted this image; however, I hope you won't mind a few pointers. I will view them in the order that you posted them. -- -- This is a great first posting, I love the way you textured her hair. Main point of possible improvement is her eyes. They are an example the "dead eyes" of Poser. You can fix that by adding a little ambience and/or translucency to the eyewhite and iris textures.
