Description

The Arrastra Mnt's of Arizona are found in Mohave county. The Summit is 4807 ft They have been mined and dug, re-mined and re-dug over the last 200 years. Known to be friendly when you try not to conquer them. Know to be a killer if you try. Covered with mesquite and chaparral, sagebrush and snakes. Very little water. They have drawn men for the same reason, Gold. Many small ruins are found there of shelters made of stone. a few broken arrastra's have been found. If you decide to travel these hills, wear good boots, bring water, allot of water. Watch out for Snakes and other smaller creatures that can be just as deadly. Do not go alone unless you are very desert wise. Even if you avoid the snakes and other little traps that Mother Nature provides for fun, You could lose your footing and became a human rock slide, or be under one. Beware of the mines. Many have not been explored and still have traps in them. Some even shelter Snakes and other citizens of the desert. Always be aware of your location. It is easy to get turned around and very lost. But I know many of you won't listen, because you can take care of yourself. Then go my friend, go to these hills. Bring your little qt bottle of water and wear your short pants. Make sure you have your best tennis shoes on. Go then, the Desert welcomes you. It has a special place for those who can take care of them selves. Ps. Don't let the lake fool you, it does not exist. All Vistapro. No post work.

Thanks Frank, I will heed your warning! :) This is really cool since I think I have these kind of mountains facing east of my house complete with old mines! I can tell you, the desert is a death trap for sure, but is a really beautiful place to explore if you are experienced. Wonderful image! Nice texturing and POV! V :)
