Description

I recently completed this image for the cover of a quarterly Magazing called 'Mountain Bike'. I was asked to design, model and illustrate a reasonably futuristic bike and rider. During the design process, I came up with the idea of setting the scene using the moon as the ultimate mountain biking experience of the future! :)... although Mars be even cooler! Apart from the figure and some and his costume (Poser), all the rest was modeled and rendered in Cinema 4D 8.5 Cheers :)

Very nice. Like the display windows on the handlebars. Good touch there, along with the lights on his gloves. Wonder how much hang-time one could get out there...

Riding on the moon. The bike should be heavy enough. Excellent idea and modeling.

Glad to see you back with another artwork, Adam! Very cool image, I like both the idea and the execution of it. Maybe the ground looks a bit too plastic/shiny but I've never been to the moon so I can't say for sure :)

Incredible sharp in the crispness of your details. Looks a bit static, but that might because of the low gravity. Awesome image! :o)

Hehe, excellent and original concept Adam. Very well done! I see his on the edge of a cliff, explaining the harsh DOF transition. Would love to see tyre mark and very slight dust.

What a cool design! Textures/finish on wheels are a nice touch. By the way, it's your illustrations in Cinema 4D that inspired me to start using it. Thanks.
