not satisfied with this image due to alot of quality loss from final vue render to final overall image but this is what i did with it

Looks very good to me. I like the way the board is reflecting the surroundings. The problem is, it's hard to see the difference between the black and white pieces. Funny thing is, I actually have a glass set where it's hard to tell the difference, and that's why I never use it. :)

I have been wanting to do a chess scene for years now...lol but you always see them done in Max and Maya, so I never bothered. Now however, I am thinking that maybe I should have...lol Beautiful work here. Textures, lighting and POV are all perfect!!! You have my vote:)

there are the chrome's pawns surrounding the queen disallowing any movement from any other chrome piece to get the queen resulting in the king with no move - checkmate - ty for comments

I like it, did you make the chess pieces? One thing is that the King is laying in the chess board, or is it just that it's hard to see when it's glass.
