Description
This is so funny. The Boeing's Co.'s historic Stratoliner S-307 was being restored for a final trip to it's new home in a museum. The worlds first pressurized cabin plane that enabled high altitude flights was being flown on a test run after a SIX YEAR restoration process. They forgot to fill up the tanks and crashed right off the coast of Alki beach near Seattle. I arrived there only an hour or so after the plane had crashed along with god knows how many TV trucks, photographers and just a huge crowd to check out the mishap. Not satisfied with the images I had taken right then because dozens of photographers were there too. I came back later that night at low tide and to my delight, there were only guards on post who had no problem with me taking some more shots. The image is not the best in the world because I only have a hard copy of the photo left and had to scan it to put it on here. I hope you enjoy, and remember, check your gas before you begin your journey. This photo was not manipulated what so ever.

Incredible!

It sucks, six years of hard work gone to the drain, only because Joe said "fill the tank Phill" and Phill said: "fill the tank Pedro" and Pedro said it to john, john to Miller and Miller thought Joe had done it already.. hehe.

Fantastic shot!!! I used to live in West Seattle for a momment I thought it was San Diego's skyline anyway... Great work, and I guess that why some people call Boeing "Brain Dead". Gee I always look at the gas gauge when I get in my car, and I'm not even leaving the ground???
