well, this image is interesting... but you can work on texturing, beaucase the image is too "flat" table and sand are not enough "dirty", also the pov are a little bit strange, try to move the camera... fix the feets of horse "floating" on air... the background would be more realistics with some far mountains... well thats all and is only my opinion...

Try also to apply the same material for mountain as the one you applied for ground. Experiment with light - try to use less ambient :-)) It's only be experimenting (a lot) that you can get good results - Good luck!
