I'd say it's a macro shot. You certainly could not take this photo with an ordinary fixed lens camera. The leaves are in nice focus, while the petals are a softer focus. This happens frequently to me - so I just call it a "soft focus" :c) hehe...it is a beautiful camellia, and looks similar to one I have. Check out my gallery for other flowers too.
