Description
This image gave me lots of headaches. At first i thought the idea was good. Then i changed my mind. I left it alone for a while, worked on it again, left it again... Could never be sastisfied with it. And last night i thought that my last changes were really the last. I hesitated before posting it here, but hey... i hope to have comments, this way i may know why i still don't like it :)

I like the overall concept. There are three points that could possibly be improved: 1. The fighters are surrounded by their shadows. While the silver warrior comes out clearly the dark one is not so clearly seen and ends up in the dark sky and at the edge of the image. 2. The silverwarrior has an asian typ sword, but a medieval european style armour. 3. The rim of the scene, made up by the buildings, is very abrupt. Perhaps you can smoothen this part of the image. The image is rich in detail, but perhaps some contrasts are to be reworked. No doubt, nice to see it!

I think it is Wonderful. Knowing how it feels to have a great idea and then have trouble getting it to annouce in the image. The best think I can tell you is keep putting it aside till you are happy with it. Remember it is how you feel about it that matters most. I am a beliver that if the image really wants to come out then it will. Just might not be in this image. I still love the image. There are things you could always do with it, but as a whole that isn't what I look for.. I look at the emotions that an image pulls from me. This pulls many from me so in my mind you have created a work of art. ~Syg

I like it :)) Gives me the sense of good against evil..but in this case good may not be the knight in white. :)) Great job Merlin!!!

Thanks for all your comments... Pauli, i know about the swords styles, i did it on purpose. At first it was a fantasy scene on an asteroid (hence the abrupt effect on the buildings edges). But you're right, it really would need to be reworked. I just don't know where to start, and it would end up in a recycle bin if i was trying ;)

Wow, I think this is a wonderful image. The swords work wonderfully but then I come from John Norman's world where anything can mix. The dark warrior is great in the shadows, it gives one much to think about regarding him. You did an excellent job! BTW, Port Kar would be an interesting thought for one of my subjects in the near future. Thank-you

Honey your Skill and Hard work really shines in this... In the film Industry, many Imperfections go by unnoticed and only Skeptical Egotistical people with little imagination would find this piece less than perfect. Clearly the Silver knight has won the samurai sword from a previos battle, perhaps it was a gift from the emperor? I love it .. Its one of your best I've seen so far.. MUAH!! VIVA Le France'!!
