This is an image (one of about 50) that my son took. I was going to put up one of the ones he took of me straightening my skirt, fluffing my hair, fixing my bra, making a face or yelling at him to quit laughing and just take the stupid picture ... but decided on this one instead.BIOI am a freelance writer and published author, from Canada. I also putter with web design and fractals. My friends cringe when they open their e-mail and see an attachment with the subject line "What do you think of this one?"
I also do public speaking and have a book published, on bullying, which came out this year. I speak in schools and for different organizations about bullying and writing and it's pretty time consuming but a lot of fun ... the kids are great. I also work for a major financial institution, I guess you could say in my spare time. :)
I have a website for the book, if anyone is interested in seeing what it's about ...

A beautiful fractal Mother's Day gift. A wonderfully written piece. You really poured your heart out and I am sure it made you feel very much better. It is sometimes hard to say the thoughts that run around in our heads. You have put it down so very well. Marion

Your versatility in creating fractals is astonishing and each one, though stylistically distinct, shows an unquestionable mastery. The writing on your mom seized my heart very quickly and hasn't let go after several hours. I admire the beauty and honesty of your own heart. Thank you and thank you again.

A heartwarming ... aye and sometimes heartrending ... journey into the often complex geography of the mother-child relationship. There is so much to ponder here, to wonder at and mainly to praise. Quite magnificent my friend. v Forgot to mention that your fractal picture was equally stunning in composition and colour. It's a truly fitting tribute.

Quote:". But you dont have to worry about me anymore, mom. You always said I would be okay, and I am," .... PAT .... a wonderful, thoughtfully written piece .... excellent .... and your 'art' could stand 'alone' .... love that 'quoted' statement above you made .... now that 'mom' doesn't have to 'worry' about 'you' anymore, maybe it's ''ok'' for 'you' not to have to 'worry' about 'mom' either? .... PEACE .... my best .... brian. VOTE (you are more than 'ok' ....now, enjoy life, as your mom would have wanted you too .... with 'no' guilt) .
