Description

Canon 10D + Sigma 28-300mm (at 300mm) ISO 400 f5.6 1/1000 Something about this little angel felt rather sad, although I don't know why. I also feel peace, however, and perhaps an agreement that it is getting time to leave. Thanks for looking.

You are right. There is something felt sad in this image. But it's a lovely image too, so peaceful. I just love this serie very much... It's an excellent work, A very emotional serie.

Oh, this is my favorite one of your series. Very well seen! Superb DOF! Hm, hm, hm, am I allowed to make a suggestion? I can see a cross in the background, right beside the head of the angel. How would this photograph look like, if you shut the aperture, or minimise the FL, only a bit, so that the cross is not so blurry? Oh, now I see another very important detail: The angle of the sun. Perfect! It comes directly from behind saying God is staying behind the angel. So the angel is not praying TO God, he is praying WITH God.

I like Ikarius' idea. The perpetuality of prayer beyond this world. Another great wee statue that with the light and shadow balance allows for only partial disclosure. I think it is a powerful photo. Great stuff mate!

Oh I've said it many times...but statues have such a presence about them and this is no exception...very sad and beautiful at the same time. Well captured!

Sadness in knowing we are coming to the end of this spiritual journey- and joy at having shared your peace and seeing with your soul.

On one hand I feel the sadness too but on the other hand I feel kind of warmth and comfort. Really gorgeous!

What I see here is not sadness at all, but very devout respect, honour, reverence. I love the expanse of empty space at the top - it gives the impression that this little angel has a power over it so that nothing can harm it. Beautiful image.

I think it's the pose of the angel that gives it a tad of sadness... something about her wings and head... But it's a peaceful sadness, no doubt and yet another wonderful capture t is also :))
