Description

Well this was started as test render for another work I planed to do. It was just to get the textures right on the can itself, but it turned into a full project before I knew it. This involved tons of layers of textures and mapping and then a bunch of work on the lighting. Hope you enjoy and please comment as you see fit. Thank you for viewing.

Pretty cool, it is obvious that you worked hard. The only thing is that the texture on the top of the oil cans seems identical and just rotated by an angle.

I'd say aside from the mentioned duplication, it's superb texture work. Very realistic. Maybe a little more creative composition as far as object positions. Awesome scene lgp!

This "something" at the left doesn`t look perfectly real... unlike everything else. The tins alone are among the very best images I saw in CG.

I touched up the final work a bit to correct the minor texture problems pointed out Underzog on the lids and also tried to fix the funnel on the left, but as I said, this was really suppose to be a test render for the cans so I did'nt actually re-render it, I just used photoshop. Hope this makes a difference and if you look closely at the thumb you can see what I have changed. Thank you.

Great textures, materials, and choice of subject! (And incidentally, I have witnessed nearly indentical corrosion patterns on old cans left in the case.)

I've noticed in six months you've come from ordinary to extraordinary in mastering Bryce. I think you have it down pat!
