Description
This was my entry for the Blob R Us! challenge at www.imagine3d.org
Both the snail and the treestump its on is built completely from blobs, meshed and then textured with the AB's and Imagines standard textures. The background is a photo.

Its not bigger no! Maybe its te background colour, sometimes that has such an effect :-) Anyways, its the first time in ages I have tried blobs, and your car was a good example of what can be done, but I'll think i'll do my next "blob" in organica :-)

And a charming slug he is! I think he needs a slime trail to be more authentic, though ! (smile) The tree trunk is absolutely awesome! I really want to try this ! (I'm one of those danged tree-huggers!) Really nice work, using a difficult method!

Yes I agree, a slimetrail WOULD make it better, but frankly, I didnt have time to add it ;-) I had been rying to make a head for the comp, but failed due to some bloblimits I hadnt thought of, afterwards I naturally though about building it in parts, but that was afterwards :-/ The snail and the tree was both made in about one-two hours, textured and done, rendering took another half hour to 45 minutes. No softshadows :-) and all in detailed, no staging... The snail doesn look that good close up, I will post a pic or two of it here, I can probably do a much better one in the forms editor with some addons for the eyes and whatever the antenae is called :-)
