Description
Osiris and Isis, a tragic love story. According to myth Osiris's brother Set was jealous of Osiris and organized an elaborate feast where he presented him with a coffin. When Osiris laid in the coffin, Set closed the lid and sealed it and tossed it into the Nile.
Isis, devestated at the loss searched for her husband, she finally found him and returned him to Egypt for proper burial.
Set enraged when he found the coffin tore Osiris's body into pieces and scattered them across Egypt. Again Isis found all the pieces, except for one and wrapped his body back together and gave Osiris the breath of life.
It was then when Horus was conceived and vowed to avenge his fathers' death.
The rising of the Nile is attrubited to Isis's grief, her tears flood the Nile.
This is my rendition of the awakening of Osiris, king of the Underworld. I used corpse lights from RDNA to give his body the greenish ting that seems to be the natural in all pictures I have seen of him.
Also this is my first rendering using two figures. It almost drove me mad, and a couple of times Osiris ended up with the Primal windy hair instead of Isis, but I made it through it!
Thanks for viewing :)

Great scene! I love the way you handled the lights and the wings. I would like to see it on a larger scale
