This is an incredible image. I would like to know the story behind this image. How was it created? How did you get the osprey to fly over you? You must have had a pond full of big fat juicy fish. You have captured a perfect image and I know every photograph who see this image will agree. The bird is even eyeing you. The sky is nice and blue, no clouds to interfer with looking at this magnificent bird. You should be proud of this image.

Sorry for having to add some nagging: when interfering with breeding birds, the photographer had done something wrong, no matter on how great that shot finally is. Not to harm or unnecessarily disturb birds is more important than our pictures .. at least, that's what i believe in. And this is the only reason for not voting on this awesome image. Sorry if i got something wrong from the line beyond your image.

I agree with raven on this, interfering with breeding birds and other animals is not okey, if it is by accident so may be it, i only go as far as my self, I wouldnt like anyone taking a walk in my bedroom. Besides that, this is an amazing shot. well focused, great light.

Ospreys are a territorial animal, although I was close that is relative. I was not closer than 200 ft and was across from the nest on an overpass on a highway. I was close enough that it was checking me out but I did not pose a threat to them and the animal did not make any aggressive dives or actions toward me. I certainly respect their natural beauty and rights.
