The ice has an almost translucent quality and you could ski in the snow it looks so thick....excellent picture...

but i see a strange effect with the light ... its not snow its cream !!!! there is not the little shiny effect from the snow, snow is a lot of crystals and they're shining... all they shine.... as you know I'm from switzerland and I like the mountains, if you have the chance one day to move out your country go to Interlaken and after you can go to Grindelwald and watch the Eiger its a fabulous, incredible chain of mountains a circle of mountains !

Indeed, could be a place somewhere in the Swiss Alps. In my opinion the blue of the rocks is a bit too saturated for a natural place. Nevertheless a wonderful scene. ( Looks like these snow pictures have brought back winter to my country. The mountains are all covered with snow again.)

Nice one.

It's an interesting thing about the blue color of the exposed rocks. It seems to be some artifact because there is no reason I can see for it to be there. The color mode is Altitude gradient and the chosen gradient has no such blue in it anywhere. I tried removing the snow altogether and the blue patches are reduced but not eliminated. The wetness is turned almost to zero so it's not a wetness reflection of the sky. I can't figure it out. I agree Dick that the blue rocks do not look very natural at all. Even though their cause is still a mystery I like the overall appearance. Thank you all for your kind comments.
