Comment from the journal of a twisted mind (mine) Some of the things that I'm hooked on, computers, rendering, smokeing, and math. (the latter believe or not) are impossible for me to give up. The more I render the more I smoke. There's a saying that goes something like this. Each cigarette that you smoke adds one nail to your coffin. Now here's the fun part..I've figured out that I've smoked 365,121 cigarettes (not counting the one I'm smoking now as I type this) so far. Assuming that each mail weighs 2 oz. (I'll let you figure the weight here) it would appear that it will take a crane to lift my coffin (neat) this will really piss some people off. Now for the best part my coffin will be composed entirely of steel (forget the wood) there will be just to may nails. Now the only thing that really worries me is this. The saying does not mention if the nails are galvanized, it's important because the last thing that I want is a rusted coffin. Cool image (has to be it prompted me to type all this.) Well done and Excellent Work!!!!!

Yep, I'm chained to that cigarette too. Know it's killing me and still I can't quit! To go with what coolcatcom said, each cigarette also takes 7 to 11 minutes of your life. With what I have smoked I should have died about 3 days ago. Joking aside, I now have asthma, on top of my allergies. Breathing is difficult sometimes. But I have hope, I went from 4 packs a day to less than a pack per day now. Maybe I'll break that barrier Hmmm? Excellent work on this Chorny. I hope that many people look at this and decide to quit or never to start! Love it! :)

Most Excellent!... Your Best One yet!... I think that half of the tombstones are from friends and relatives that have been killed by the cigarette companies! I haven't had one of those stinking things in 15 years, and I never will again!... some helpful hints when you quit (and you will love being a nonsmoker) are: the nicotine fit only lasts about three minutes, so if you can find something else to do for three minutes, You are all set. (Deep breathing works good here) drink lots of water, play with a toothpick, it's an oral fixation and a fondling thing. Study your habit, (write down why you're smoking each cigarette) at the end of the week, buy yourself a gift with the money that you saved. (That's it, you're a nonsmoker!). Just don't touch the next cigarettes, and then you don't have to worry about all the ones that follow! "E" "V" "FAV"

GREAT PICTURE! How Much is a Pack of Cigarettes? $5? x 4 packs = 20 x 365 days a year = $7,300 x 15 years = $109,500 WOW! YOU COULD BUY YOURSELF A NICE GIFT!

Well I don't know if this will help, but I did stop smoking and it will be a year at the end of this month! And, believe it or not, it's been dead easy! I hated smoking so I guess it helped a lot but I also did a hypnosis session, 20mns, and I didn't touch a cigarette ever since! Maybe it worth a try huh! ;) As for ur image, it's exactly what cigarette will do to u if u don't quit: u will still be addicted after ur death!! sigh :( Great work!

I am reading and looking at the painting here and thinking a lot I do believe that we can enjoy things in life and if you enjoy your cig that's alright its when we get to where we have to have" whatever"in excess, things like chocolate, fats in our diet ,not being active, many things wil cause death and we end up going earlier,so cut down don't let that cig control you keeping all in moderate amounts to me is the KEY: and at the same time keep us happy and perhaps alive we have choices make them happened ..(not preaching just trying to help) Vote for sure its excellent made us all think didn't it? and that's what great art will do..

It's easy to quit smoking... I've done it hundreds of times. I smoke about 5 cigs a day, except sundays when I render, then it's about 2 packs in one day. One didn't know that rendering was so dangerous. Super cool image 'C'. Taking your cigarette to the grave is a profound message. Love this!!!! You should have titled it "Chained Smoker" :^>
