Description

This is one of the posts at the gateway of the house of . . . yes, chimney pots and other stuff. What looked like a set of gigantic rooks was chimney pots. The 'pawns' and 'bishops' seem to be pinnacles from roof tops. The gargoyles are gargoyles. We have no idea what it going on here. It appears to be a massive, impressive collection of old (maybe newish) roof top decorative items. The gate is almost a mini-series of its own. Urn, gas-lantern, heraldic charge, etc. One can almost hear Vincent Price and Peter Lorre having a chat just out of sight. I didn't have any luck finding a good site to research the arms on the post, but they seem to be 'valid' in that they are not obviously some botched attempt to 'look cool' with fake charges, etc. There is more to follow. Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
