Description
It was 1940, I believe. I'd just taken some photos for a wedding held at St. Anthony's Church. I had one of those new 'portable' cameras and it was still hanging around my neck when I went down into the church's basement to fetch something for the priest. In semi-darkness I saw her--an angel of pure beauty. Just sitting there betwixt the pipes and stored backdrops from the annual Passion Play. It was quick thinking on my part. I snapped her picture before she smiled at me and disappeared. I just came across this photo recently as I cleaned out a lifetime of memories.
(Thanks for looking! Denny)
