Description

Poser Judy morphed by me, + about 33 primitives. This one's all about the shaders, no postwork except for touching up her eyeballs. I wanted to give her a realistic wet look, not sure if I accomplished that or if she looks plastic, please let me know what you think. Thanks to Ajax for the very helpful Refractive Water tutorial, and to SamTherapy for somehow stirring up my interest in the materials room to begin with. Comments are always welcome, thanks for lookin!

That water is fantastic! To get drops of water on her skin, you could try to connect a noise shader to the reflection value node of her skin. That might work. Excellent materials job on the tiles too, and that's quite a lot of environment to set up with just primitives! Keep up the good work!

Very, very cool work. I do think the skin looks a little like plastic, maybe because it appears too smooth. The wet look in itself is fantastic. All in all, an excellent picture.

She looks wet!! You might want to add a few beads of water (Like I know how>) to break it up, but she definately looks wet! I like the water texture too!!

I think it looks pretty darned good. I have to agree with breaking up the 'wet/shiny' places with some unshiny streaks. When you stand up in the water, it doesn't stay stuck all over you like that. But hey! This is very cool! (:

Excellent set-up and scene... wonderful material effects... especially love the wavey effect on the deck tiles and the checkerboard pattern in the pool... well done Kat!

It's great to see somebody using that tute :-) Try using a spots node with white spots on a black background to drive the specular value on the skin and you should get an effect more like drops of water. Also, try putting the skin texture into the bump channel, but keep the bump value down low.

I love the mood, the perspective, and the pool water is superb!! You liked my "Specular Reflections" render but I wish I could get my water to look llike yours, as well as the wet skin. This is definitly one of my favorite images!!

The hair and other features help define this more as a water look...but a useful trick is to have water dripping off her body a bit to help train the eye so there's no mistaking water rather than plastic:)
