Description
This is part of a Poser/3D Studio Max scene I'm working on.
THE ONLY reason it's here is because I'd like to know what you all think of the expressions, poses etc. I don't want to hear about how shiny the skin is.
Are the characters realistic?

Her expression looks good, but the pose seems a little forced. I think it's the angle of the hand... I'm no expert at poses, but that's my initial reaction. The man is okay, except the forearm muscles are - I was going to say too big but I mean in proportion to the rest of him. Does that help any?

Not enough sleep, Not enough coffee and to much computer; ) With posing it helps to use the IK on and off and keep tweeking, a little bit at a time using the dials, the fingers should have as much attention as the expression on there face, it all helps to bring a bit of life into the Poser people. The expressions on there faces look great and thanks for the comments about my gallery: )

Yeah - I find the IK can be a bit annoying when you're trying to create a pose from scratch (especially when you've got a slow processor and it takes a year to do/undo the IK!).
I thought your gallery was good as you obviously spend a lot of time on your work, and there was a strong classical theme which I liked (used to study Latin and ancient Greek - very dull but handy at the same time - and I have an interest in ancient Egypt and the old gods).
Hopefully with some upgrades and a lot of practice I'll be turning out some similarly cool peices before long!

Sorry eirian I missed your comment earlier!
Yeah, her hand was forced a little (that's why I cut the elbow of hahaha), since this is just a draft to help me plan out the main peice I couldn't be bothered to align every muscle to the nearest degree (I'm sure we all have days like that).
Lucas' character in the story I am doing these for is a construct - kind of a mix between a genetically engineered human (like the genome soldiers in @Metal gear Solid') and a synthetic (a la Bishop from 'Aliens'). This is why he's slightly off-proportion when compared to a human - his muscles are supposed to react to changes in behaviour and exercise more quickly than a regular person's would.
Rachael is a human so there's really no excuse for that arm! hahaha
I'll be posting some material about the story on my homepage when I'm good and ready so check it out in a couple of weeks!

I kinda like the shiny skin :) a ken-and-barbie look... but...I'm afraid the shirt from rachael is too thick...looks like a sweater without the arms :) and lucas...even if his muscles react quicker than those from man, then why is his chest so slim? with arms like that he's supposed to have a chest of a bodybuilder..
sayanora
Nah you don't get it... how can I explain this...?
His musculature doesn't work like ours - individual muscles react to workn rather than muscle groups, and restructure themselves almost immediately according to the nature or the effort required.
Example - if he was lifting a crate, his calf, back, midsection, shoulder and arm muscles fibres would all react by shortening. But if he was doing something less strenuous, such as strangling a baddie, the muscles in his forearm would adapt to give him more crushing power and remain in that adapted state for a few hours before returing to the 'default' state.
I could probably explain it better than that, but its 4.35am here :-)
Rachael's top is part of a combat uniform, so it's not a great surprise that it's quite thick. Stops the chest armour from chaffing!
