Description

Memories of Olympic Series - Incoming Tide. Artmatic pro, voyager, and minor PS7 levels adjustment. A view of closer seastacks from a rocky, sandy smooth beach. I made the sand a little smoother at the base of each rock by using the smooth abs x component on the z stone clusters. It helps a little to give that piled up wet sand look and it almost gives the illusion of a soft shadow. Thanks for looking and comments are appreciated.

Fantastic Scott. Is there something going on also with the surface of the water? It looks amost like there are two layers there. The lower part of the seastack reflection, that is, the reflection of the peaks, look like it's not broken up as much as I would imagine the waviness would break it up. Of course, these are only minor questions. I find the overall image very tasty. Excellent!

Excellent Monochromatic work....love the distant mist and soft contrast of the Background offset by the clarity and sharpness of the rocks on the beach...the sand is superb and the reflection of of it is a really nice touch...Excellent

I'm flattered by all your comments : ) Yes Tino you are right. Eric designed Voyager waters to be calmer when the water gets shallow, but I think that it isn't taking into account that I have a lot of foam and the water really should be rougher there - regardless of the shallowness. If I were to sell this image as art I would first use the liquefy tool in PS7 to make that area a little more turbulent. Also I have the transparency nearly off and you can still see some of the rocks underwater. Again this is something weird happening with very shallow water in Voyager. This foam makes great raw material for art as you will see two images from now ; )
